Samuel Alemayehu Bekele is the Co-Founder and Partner of Mizan Advocates LLP, recognized for providing strategic, solution-oriented legal counsel to construction and property management companies, including The Place Luxury Living, as well as businesses, institutions, and private clients. He combines a deep commercial understanding of the Ethiopian legal landscape with practical, results-driven strategies that guide clients through complex legal and regulatory challenges.
With over nine years of professional experience, Samuel advises on corporate governance, contract structuring and negotiation, regulatory compliance, banking and finance, real estate transactions, and dispute resolution. His guidance has been pivotal in ensuring that large-scale development projects and property management operations are executed efficiently, legally, and with minimized risk.
In addition to his advisory work, Samuel serves as a lecturer in Business Law, shaping future legal professionals and reinforcing his own analytical rigor. His teaching ensures that his practice remains grounded in both doctrinal depth and current legal developments.
Samuel previously worked at the Ethiopian Mediation and Arbitration Center, where he honed his expertise in alternative dispute resolution. This experience strengthened his belief that well-managed negotiation and mediation often deliver more efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable outcomes than prolonged litigation. He consistently integrates ADR principles into his legal strategy, prioritizing negotiated solutions while remaining fully prepared to litigate when necessary.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Arba Minch University and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Business Law from Addis Ababa University.
